Parag Parekh, MD
Dr. Parag Parekh earned his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University and his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He was awarded the Kennedy Fellowship to attend Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, where he earned a master’s degree in U.S. Health Policy, Economics, and Management. Dr. Parekh completed fellowship training in 2008.
Dr. Parekh has been in practice in Central/Western Pennsylvania since 2011, after spending several years in practice in Massachusetts, with offices in Boston and Cape Cod and clinical appointments at Harvard/Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary and Tufts/New England Eye Center.
Dr. Parekh has performed significant clinical research and has written numerous scientific articles and textbook chapters. He has also won numerous awards, including the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute W. Richard Green Teaching Award, the American Medical Association Foundation’s Leadership Award, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology Achievement Award.
