We perform the scleral fixation method as an intraocular lens transplantation when the crystalline lens capsule is absent. However, because of no capsule, occasionally, the iris may incarcerate behind the IOL and it causes pupil deformation, inflammation and secondary glaucoma. To prevent this complication, we have developed a new technique to place criss-cross sutures.
