Course Description
Course will discuss the disproportionate rates of musculoskeletal and spinal injury in ophthalmologists due to poor ergonomics and cumulative strain injuries. We will discuss posture modifications in the clinical and operating room setting as well as share objective data and new technologies designed for improved ergonomics in ophthalmology. We will feature a physician-led yoga and stretching workshop to learn ways to combat these injuries.

Educational Objective
1. Identify repetitive postures/positions that lead to cumulative strain injuries. 2. Recognize opportunities for improved ergonomics in daily encounters. 3. Apply suggested posture and ergonomic modifications to daily practice. 4. Discover at-home stretches to help combat cumulative strain injuries.
