Join Cristos Ifantides, MD, MBA and fellow YES members Brenton Finklea, Priya Mathews, and Daniel Terveen as they discuss how they’ve been able to enjoy the autonomy and freedom of private practice while still engaging in academic pursuits and product development. It will also provide insight into steps anyone can take to ensure a smooth transition to private practice and getting involved or staying involved with research. The panel is comprised of private practice physicians with experience in academic institutions, physician owned private practice, and private equity owned private practice. Most YES members get mentorship from mentors at academic hospital systems and don’t always have access to academically minded private practice mentors. We hope this session will show YES members that private practice provides the most fertile landscape for obtaining funding and time for your intellectual pursuits.
