Course Description
Didactic approach to the management of progressive cornea ectasia associated with keratoconus and refractive surgery.Several CXL treatment modalities will be presented, such as the single FDA approved technique in the US, but additional alternate techniques practiced internationally in order to halt ectasia,combined sometimes with a customised excimer laser ablation, intracorneal ring segments and/or phakic IOL to facilitate visual rehabilitation
Educational Objective
The participants will share our vast experience of 2 decades, in managing progressive keratoconus and post-LASIK, PRK and Smile ectasia with CXL. Pearls on indications, patient selection, surgical technique and complication management for safe and effective results will be presented and discussed with the participants
