Course Description
Course will provide a systematic approach to understanding the etiology, diagnosis, surgical planning and execution of cataract removal from eyes that have naturally or iatrogenically occurring posterior capsule defects. Video case presentations will demonstrate variations in phacoemulsification settings, use of intraoperative OCT, vitrectomy techniques and different IOL implantation strategies required to achieve surgical success in complex eyes

Educational Objective
I want the learner to be able to plan and successfully execute cataract removal and IOL placement in eyes with naturally or iatrogenically occurring posterior capsule defects.
