FAQ
If you are a physician or practice implementor/administrator seeking to grow your practice and set it up for a financially sustainable future, advanced-technology implant adoption is a smart investment. Not only does it offer a cash-pay revenue stream, but it meets a growing patient base that is expecting more spectacle independence from surgery. This course will give you the tools you need to navigate the patient journey and the business side of advanced-technology implant adoption through an in-person intensive learning experience and with an extensive resource library, essential for ensuring success of this endeavor.
While virtual learning has become an increasingly effective tool, the program directors feel strongly that offering in-person education in a variety of learning formats with opportunities for direct engagement between attendees and faculty will encourage authentic dialogue and thoughtful discussion in a much more impactful way. This immersive approach will make all the difference in retention and reaching actionable solutions that can be implemented in your practice.
The in-person elements of this 18-hour course will take place over just 2 days to minimize time out of practice. A special tuition incentive is being offered for the inaugural class of 2024, bringing the cost to $7,500 per practice (which includes registration for one surgeon and one office staff member). Enroll soon to secure a spot for your practice.
By successfully adopting advanced-technology implants into your cataract practice, you could recoup your investment in the ASCRS Business of Refractive Cataract Surgery Summit in one month, one week, or even one day.
The $7,500 tuition fee covers two attendees from a practice. It is recommended that these two people be a surgeon and an implementor/office manager from the practice, but two surgeons from the same practice are also welcome. If there are questions regarding tuition/attendance, please contact Crista Parker at cparker@ascrs.org.
Physician attendees should be an ASCRS member to attend this course.
An implementor is the person in a practice who assists the staff members who then go on to assist the patient at various stages in their patient journey. This person is usually in a lead position on the practice staff and would assist the physician attendee in sharing and implementing the knowledge acquired in this course in the practice itself.
Upon completion of the onsite portion of this course, you will receive access to an extensive resource library that includes:
- Customizable business forms used at every touchpoint in the advanced-technology implant patient journey
- Supplemental learning resources and how-to’s
- Surgeon and team checklists to build confidence for success in various scenarios
- Educational slideshows for the team, referring doctors, patients, and community
- And much more that attendees will learn about, be able to take home, and have access to for full practice use
Most importantly, you’ll be part of the community of surgeons and implementors who are also looking to growth their practice with advanced-technology implants and faculty who have proven success with the principles encompassed in this course. Ongoing community support will include an exclusive invitation to a private LinkedIn group for ongoing content, open discussion, community support, expert mentorship, and success sharing.
All sessions will be captured and made available to attendees only on the ASCRS website.
This meeting has been approved for 6 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.
