The Summer Meeting offers a variety of skills labs for young eye surgeons and in-practice physicians. These labs are offered at no additional cost.
Lab Offerings
Anterior Segment Surgery Lab: Explore various anterior segment surgery procedures including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, Yamane technique, nuclear disassembly, pupil expansion, and CTR insertion.

Phaco Lab: A review of basic and advanced phaco practices and procedures including phaco settings and fluidics, incisions, capsulorhexis, phacoemulsification, cortex removal, nuclear disassembly, chopping, flipping, and anterior vitrectomy.

DMEK/DSAEK Lab:
DMEK: Participants will be able to practice the DMEK technique for implantation and positioning of the donor cornea tissue through the use of an artificial anterior chamber and pre-loaded corneal tissue.
DSAEK: Participants will be able to practice tissue insertion for DSAEK and positioning of the donor tissue.
