Canabrava double flanged technique simplifies and improves the fixation of iris-IOL complex into the sclera. The main step is the insertion of the flanged 5-0 polypropilen monofilament suture into a scleral tunnel instead of direct burrying in terms of stability and safety. This technique has a low cost and gradual learning curve, which does not require scleral flaps or knots.
